Aliter

An aliter is a separate partial copy of an object or creature, the base, that exists in a different plane or location. For example, it is common for alternate worlds to contain aliters of significant people and objects. Which copy is the aliter and which the base creature is relative, and more accurately the two (or more) creatures in question are aliters of each other. Generally, aliters share most of the same inherent qualities, but may have significant differences based on their environments and experiences.
