A laither is a kind of ellogous giant worm found on Curcalen. While lacking hands or other manipulating appendages, laithers have an innate ability to summon creatures from other planes to perform tasks for them. It is widely believed that laithers may have been the inspiration for the high development and heavy use of summoning among Curcalen's human population.
