The Grandmaster Wongers created the Wongery website fifteen years ago. We made it publicly accessible eleven years, eleven hours, and eleven minutes ago. And in all that time, we never told anyone about it.

I don't mean we never advertised it, or posted about it on social media, though of course that's also true. I mean we never told anyone about it. Not friends, not family, not... random strangers we ran into on the street, though, okay, it would have been kind of weird to tell them about it anyway. We did absolutely nothing to get the word out that the site existed.

Why not? Well, for several reasons, though none of them were particularly good. For one, we weren't really sure how to go about it. And for another, well, personally I just kind of wanted to see if people would somehow run across it on their own and if the word would spread without our having to do anything about it ourselves. (Answer: No. Of course not. That was stupid. I'm stupid.)

But now, after fifteen years, we've finally broken our silence. We... haven't embarking on any big advertising campaigns, but at least we've made posts about the Wongery on a few websites. That's not much, but at least it's something.

Will this bear any fruit? Will anyone visit the Wongery because of those posts? Well... I don't know, obviously. I hope so. I hope after this we do get some visitors and engagement, and that the site's popularity then grows over time, but I have no guarantees that this will be the case. It will certainly be nice if it does. I'd like to get visitors to the site. I'd like to see people posting in the forum, creating their own articles in the Public Wongery, interacting with our social media accounts. I have no idea whether that's going to happen, but I'd like it to.
