February 3, 2026: Daily NPC—Xeremilia Corras

Aside from the Adventurers' Hall, another prominent building in Claystone Heights is the Museum of Valor, a great stone building dedicated to exhibits honoring Djarvish heroes of the past and present and displaying relics of their deeds—telesmata they retrieved; their weapons, tools, and clothing; and in some cases the remains of the adventurers themselves. Normally the museum charges a small entry fee, but it is free on one day of the week. [And it occurs to me that the days of the week and how timekeeping works in general is another thing I really ought to pin down about the world of Curcalen.]

Unlike most of the museums in the south city, the Museum of Valor was not built by the city and receives no municipal funding; it is entirely a private enterprise, overseen by its founder and president, Xeremilia Corras. Corras does, however, receive funding from wealthy donors—many of them members of galliards' guilds or even the Heroes' Council who want to help celebrate their vocation, but also many members of the covins who fund exhibits that in some way serve their covins' interests.

Xeremilia Corras is a tall, reedy woman with a narrow face. She has sunken cheeks, slightly slanted dark green eyes, and long black hair. She speaks quickly and breathily, often throwing in trivia facts about adventurers of tenuous relevance. Her usual attire is a red or blue blouse above a floor-length skirt; although she does not advertise the fact, she is a cholion, a rarig with a lion form, and under her skirt one of her legs is usually a lion's rather than a human's.
