February 2, 2026: Claystone Heights—Principal Feature
First of all, I said I would post a map at the beginning of each week showing the location of the neighborhood, so here it is:

Since last week's map, I've named a few more neighborhoods; I'm now up to thirty-five, so only seventeen to go. As I mentioned yesterday, I've also added a train; the train lines are the black lines with crossmarks. I've put in some additional subway lines since last week, too; given the size of Lüm, I'm not sure whether it might make sense to add still more subway and train lines; I'll think about it.
Anyway, the neighborhood of Claystone Heights is located at the eastern corner of the Old City, the ancient part of Lüm that dates back to the days of the League of Six and that's built on the relatively solid ground at the mouth of the [still nameless for now] river. As with most of the Old City, many of the structures of Claystone Heights are built over and around ruins from the Old City, and the neighborhood is surrounded on three sides by the old city wall. The buildings of Claystone Heights are in somewhat better shape and of firmer construction than in most of the Old City, however; while the Old City may include some of Lüm's poorest neighborhoods, Claystone Heights is more middle-class.
What Claystone Heights has a particular reputation for is as a gathering place for aspiring adventurers and heroes. Djarvin's famous "galliards' guilds" and its ruling Heroes' Council ensure that this is a vocation that many Djarvish citizens pursue. While people with such ambitions can be found all over the city, it is in Claystone Heights that they are most concentrated, and where businesses have sprung up to cater to them.
Perhaps the most famous landmark in Claystone Heights is the so-called Adventurers' Hall. Built into a surviving building from the Old City with some expansions and renovations, Adventurers' Hall sells itself as the number one place for hopeful heroes to meet, socialize, and hone their abilities. Among its services, it offers trainers in magic, combat, and other skills; employment fairs for those interested in joining one of the existing galliards' guilds; and occasional seminars by established "heroes".
